Believe in Yourself
With my background as a Special Education teacher and personal experience as a parent of a dyslexic child, I can truly empathize and relate to your situation. The frustration of recognizing a problem without knowing how to seek help or navigate the complexities of the special education system is something I’ve personally experienced and understand all too well.
My personal solution was to pursue graduate school and embark on the path to obtain a Special Education degree. By immersing myself in in-depth research and understanding the intricacies of children’s learning, I gained invaluable tools to guide and support my own child, arming me with a powerful arsenal of strategies to empower her in managing her learning challenges with confidence. Embarking on this transformative journey has empowered me to be a beacon of support for children facing diverse special education needs. From dyslexia (reading) to dysgraphia (writing), dyscalculia (math), I am equipped with the expertise and compassion to guide students towards a brighter, more successful academic future.
I take immense pride in being a part of countless heartwarming success stories. Empowering my students with essential skills, I watch them rise above challenges, advocate for themselves and apply effective strategies that not only level the playing, field, but also ignite a profound sense of achievement and unwavering self-belief.
Together, we pave the way for a future where they conquer new heights and embrace endless possibilities!

Tutoring FAQ
What is a tutor?
Our tutors provide small group instruction. The purpose of tutor is to provide direct explicit instruction to students by assisting or guiding them in academic areas that may need improvement. A tutor can provide that extra push to help achieve academic success.
Q: Why is tutoring important?
A: Tutoring is important because it provides the student with the personal
attention that they may not be receiving in the classroom. It gives students
the opportunity to learn at their own pace in a comfortable and safe
environment.
Q: How often should I meet with my tutor?
A: It depends. The amount of days that students require tutoring varies based
upon their learning plan and collaboration with you, as their parent. We have
students who see their tutors as little as two times per week to as many as four times per week. We start out at 2 days per week, progress monitoring, assessing and evaluating as we progress and communicate with you.
Q: How does this work?
Our student to teacher ratio is 3:1. A quiet environment is a must for most
struggling students in order to concentrate and stay focused. To help our
students with this need, we only have 3 classes held at one time. This ensures
less distraction and successful outcomes for our students.
Q: What makes your tutoring services different than other tutoring companies?
A: We specialized in multisensory education, using hands-on concrete
manipulatives based on the Montessori Method to solidify concepts concretely before moving onto abstract concepts on which so much learning is based. This is why so many students tend to struggle, especially in Math. We partner with the parents as open communication and collaboration is important to us and for the success of the child. We specialize in tutoring services to students K – 5 th grade and Algebra students of any age. We identify your child’s learning gaps and customize learning plans to meet the individual needs of your child.
Q: My child was just diagnosed with a learning disability, what do I do now?
A: Give us a call at 845-298-1234! We specialize at helping children with
learning disabilities. Our founder, Laura, holds her Master’s degree in Special
Education and as a parent of a dyslexic child has both professional and
personal experience working and tutoring children with learning disabilities.
We have many structured programs that are scientifically proven to
effectively remediate children with specific learning disabilities. We can guide
you through the special education process.
